So I finished watching all 17 current full seasons of Thomas & Friends (UK Dub) along with the 8 current specials as well as related works Jack & The Pack and TUGS.

My favourite seasons were probably 1-4 and 17. The early CGI seasons were a bit rough watching because they all seemed to be written from some kind of template… and after a few dozen of the exact same episode each time it got a little bit tedious. Favourite episode overall is probably “Daisy” or “Dirty Objects”. I hope we get to see Daisy in CGI one day.

My favourite characters have been Daisy overall, even if she was in three episodes. From the Steam Team, Emily and Henry. But I also like James and Toby. For other characters, Donald, Douglas, Duncan, Hiro, Mavis, Salty and Porter. Including season 18, I actually like Oliver a lot more than in the original series, he didn’t seem to have much development to me. Though I love the episode “Escape”. Thomas is not my favourite even though he’s the main star, I’m not sure if its overexposure but when I read the Railway Series and the TV Show at the same time, I’m not sure which came first. I get the feeling it was the Railway Series… because Thomas isn’t such a big deal in that, maybe that’s why I don’t see him as the best.

Favourite special would of had to been “King of the Railway”. though I liked them all well enough. Day of the Diesels and Misty Island Rescue felt like they had good ideas but got messed up by the writing and didn’t turn out well, Misty Island especially with what I’m pretty sure was underlying pro-racism.

My favourite things from this show have been the music what a glorious soundtrack! Especially in those early seasons, why there’s no official cd I’ll never know. I also love the introduction of different kinds of engines in the later seasons, I like looking and learning about them casually. Also when this show is written right, its actually amazing! Its so funny and witty and full of depth!

If you haven’t checked out this show, please do! You’ll love it.

Translator’s Notes

Usagi and her friends go to visit Michiru who is preparing for her joint-concert with Three Lights but rumours of a Mysterious Phantom start appearing in the concert hall. One of the Dancing Animamates even claims to have seen it. Usagi finds that the Phantom seems to be targeting Hotaru and Mamoru rather than her! Soon mysterious new Sailor Soldiers show up but are they allies or enemies? Soon betrayals on all sides take action and Usagi finds herself in a position where she can only save the day by unlocking the mysteries of the Past.

This show is the final installment of the Second Stage (Summer 1998-Winter 2004), and resembles the earlier Eternal Legend and Birth of the New Legend in its basic plot. However, this musical is very unique and special with all new twists and new perspectives. The core plot may be the same but it is as unique as any other show. This show is the 777th Sailor Moon Musical performance and the final musical to be choreographed by Akiko Yanagi who had been choreographer from the very beginning. This show serves as a wonderful tribute to lyricist Kayoko Fuyumori who passed away a few months prior to this musical’s staging. Featuring popular songs such as “Galaxia Gorgeous”, “Chasin’ After You”, “Seishun no Shoumi Kigen”, “Double Moonlight Romance”, “Toki Michite Kourin”, “Kakyuuouhi to Three Lights”, “See Me, Bokutachi no Jidai” and the brand new song which appears exclusively in this show and was never released on album “Teikou no Hana”.

Momoiro Clover Z’s (Sailor Moon Crystal) 11th Single: "Naite mo Iinda yo / It’s Okay to Cry", to be released on May 8th along with B song “Doudou Heiwa Sengen / Majestic Peace Declaration” and C song “My Dear Fellow”.

Naite mo Iinda yo will be the theme song of upcoming film “Akumuchan the MUovie” (May 3rd) following the drama series “Akumuchan / My Little Nightmare” that starred Keiko Kitagawa (Rei Hino, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon live-action drama series) as the main character Ayami Mutoi featuring Shiori Tamai (Momoiro Clover Z) guest-voicing as Yumenoke (Dream Beast). Kitagawa has also recently formed a special idol unit called “Kimoclo” for a special promoting the upcoming movie.

Doudou Heiwa Sengen (a rap) will be a song for film “Idai Naru Shurara Bon” in which sister group Shiritsu Ebisu Chuugaku’s Hinata Kashiwagi will appear.

My Dear Fellow was specially written for Masahiro Tanaka, a baseball player who was recently scouted into the New York Yankees.

I’m going to be one of those people on youtube comments who inform everyone that their name is also the name of the person in the video even though we already see that in their username.

Congratulate me please.
